Be part of the solution. Whether you are interested in medicine, dance, or international development you can get involved. One high school girl designed an app to detect breast cancer. A woman designed a new way to enjoy the art of dance through iLuminate. Maybe coding will enable smart phones to monitor insulin levels or other health issues. Coding skills are fundamental to creating products and processes to make a difference in people’s lives. Come learn to code – and bring a friend – because coding is a team sport!

Spend a Saturday at Stevens!  Led by outstanding Stevens faculty, you will learn to code in Python on a Raspberry PI and explore exciting careers in software engineering by talking with women college students.

The program is designed for high school students who have no coding experience. The program consists of two 3-hour sessions running from 9am - 12pm and 1pm - 4pm separated by an hour for complimentary lunch on campus.  You will be provided with pointers to resources so you can continue your journey after the day is over.

The program is funded in part by the National Science Foundation through a grant to the National Center for Women & Information Technology.
